Jet Go International

About JetGo

JetGo was founded in January 2007 with the introduction of static battery carts to meet the needs of the Australian Military.  Jason Ryder and Roderick Gray, JetGo founders and Austrailian Beechcraft Premier pilots recognised the increasing requirement for 28.5V DC ground power to enable operation of aircraft avionics while on the ground. Operating the air conditioning to service boarding passengers and starting the Williams turbo fan engines with dependable, clean power was vital in the hot Australian climate. The logistics associated with transporting contemporary 28.5V GPUs to remote locations proved to be cost prohibitive.  The development of a static battery cart began and Jetgo was born. The static cart was a huge success in Australia, particularly with the military.

The introductory JetGo model, the 200m, was best suited to service light jets such as the Beechcraft Premier and Cessna CJ3, and jets that did not require a towable GPU.  During a comprehensive tour of FBOs throughout the US, it was determined that a new style of GPU was required for successful commercial applications. This has led to the development of the 550m. Specifically designed from the ground up, this 550m incorporated all of the features specified by the many line technicians and operators of all the FBOs visited during the tour.

AERO Specialties acquired JetGo International in 2011 to compliment its extensive line of precision-crafted ground support equipment.  AERO Specialties relocated JetGo manufacturing to Boise, Idaho, USA and began production of JetGo model 28eco and 550Mti diesel-electric hybrid GPUs.  Through AERO's international distribution network, JetGo GPUs can be found on military installations in Afghanistan and Iraq to Van Nuys Airport in California to FBOs in Jamaica.  The JetGo brand is now recognized worldwide as a leader in 28.5V DC aircraft ground power.

“We got a great start from both aircraft when we used the JetGo 550 GPU at Banyan’s FBO, FXE. Engine temps stayed low with no initial lag or voltage drop-off associated with some other GPUs that we have used. Congratulations on a great product.”
